EABEX is more than just an e-commerce site. EABEX is a business matching portal which enables buyers to search via a single window to a reliable database of products and services from verifiable companies / suppliers across ASEAN, China, Japan and Korea (ASEAN + 3). EABEX is also a platform that provides valuable business tools such as promoting the use of Free Trade Agreements by making it simple for SMEs, e-services such as banking and logistics to facilitate trade and in future, encourage and attract investment and collaboration to ASEAN + 3 by offering it as a platform to seek genuine partners and investors.
Participating in EABEX is the APEX Trade Associations. The associations that have registered with the EABEX Portal include:
- China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)
- CCPIT Electronics and Information Industry Sub-council (CCPITECC)
- Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM)
- Federation of Thai Industries (FTI)
- Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) Batam
- Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI)
- Korean International Trade Association (KITA)
- Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)
- Philippines Exporters Confederation Inc (PHILEXPORT)
- Singapore Business Federation (SBF)
- Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC)
- Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI)
Beyond e-commerce, EABEX hopes to unify the disparate sources of information across the region, and serve as an important resource centre such as updates on regional initiatives, information on FTAs and trade statistics sourced from the respective Chambers in each member state.
There are 2 types of memberships on EABEX:
Membership as a Seller allows you to promote your products and use the trade tools in EABEX. However, this membership is only open to members of business chambers or trade associations that have registered participation with East Asia Business Council or barterfli.
Membership as a Buyer allows you to find verifiable suppliers, get matched to suppliers automatically through your requirements submitted via EABEX and receive support from the business chambers. Membership is open to all.
